When you’re shipping equipment via container, your machinery will probably require padding or some form of protection because if there’s room for shifting, that can result in damage. Another option is shrink wrapping for flat rack shipping, which may be exposed to the elements. This is just one of many packing options that can protect your investment in transit.
There are standards for international shipping that you must follow, including using heat-treated wood for any pallets or wood packing materials used to protect the equipment. Using a shipping partner who is aware of and following these standards is crucial.

This may include shrink wrapping, foam packaging, fabricated supports, bare metal surface protection and desiccant protection. We also use foam blocks and braces or shock donuts and meters. You can be assured your machinery will be protected while shipping domestically or overseas.
On-Site Crating Service for Machinery Transportation: CEI provides convenient on-site crating service for our heavy machinery at your business location. At our location, we have adjustable loading docks to receive your equipment. This means we can load at ground level or dock level. We skid, palletize and crate using ISPM-15 certified stamped wood, which means we adhere to international shipping standards.

ISPM-Compliant Crating: It is important to understand international crating standards. When you’re shipping internationally, you must comply with the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM 15). This means a protective heat treatment that prevents the spread of parasites and pests in international trade. At CEI, all our wood pallets and wood packaging materials for international shipments are treated and marked in accordance with ISPM15 standard.
Tie-Downs/Securement: We can provide tie-downs and securement to skids and pallets to prevent movement and possible damage to your equipment.
