Canton Erectors Inc. Is Now CEI Crane & Rigging
Canton Erectors Inc., a Canton-born, family-owned company, has relocated and rebranded in conjunction with celebrating 60 years in business. Now known as CEI Crane & Rigging, the company has grown to become a global provider and a leader in rigging services and machinery moving.
Leader in Lifting, Heavy Haul and Crane Services
CEI provides rigging and crane service, heavy equipment moving service and turnkey, end-to-end project management services for everything from a single machine move to an entire factory relocation. The company owns a vast inventory of equipment, enabling them to respond quickly to customer needs – even offering 24/7 emergency service.
“CEI Crane & Rigging is the same company as Canton Erectors, with the same leadership,” says CEI Owner and President Brian Selinsky. “We are committed to giving our customers access to everything they need, including knowledgeable, certified, safety-conscious professionals with both domestic and international crating and shipping experience.”
The new name, CEI Crane & Rigging, bridges the company’s origins in Canton with its current location in Massillon and its international capabilities. The name also more accurately represents the services offered.
“We are no longer erecting steel buildings as we were when my father started the business,” says Selinsky, who has been with the company nearly 40 years and serving as president for 23 years. “We wanted a new name that had a link to the original, yet fit today’s operational focus.”
CEI unveiled a new logo on their new website at ceicrane.com. They are planning an open house in the fall or spring at their new facility to celebrate the 60th anniversary.
New Expanded Location
CEI has expanded and relocated to 1369 Sanders Ave SW in Massillon. The company now has 193,000 square feet of space on more than 20 acres, with room for future expansion. The company recently acquired Starrett Service, a transportation provider of trucks and professional drivers for heavy hauling.
The new location allows CEI to house their impressive on-premises commercial rigging equipment, including boom trucks, forklifts and cranes. CEI offers everything from four-ton cranes to cranes with 240-ton capabilities. If a customer requires a crane outside of that range, CEI can get it.
CEI also offers warehouse space rental for customers that need storage for large pieces of equipment, including options for heated storage, in secure buildings monitored by security cameras.
“With our new logo and new location, we are fully embracing not only our foundation but our growth as a company and continuing role as leader in our industry,” says Selinsky.
