CEI Sets the Stage for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement & Concert for Legends

BACKGROUND

The Pro Football Hall of Fame hosts an annual Enshrinement Ceremony and professional game that draws thousands to Northeast Ohio each year. This year, the celebratory weekend featured music from Maroon 5, contests, celebrity appearances and the 2018 induction ceremony.

PROBLEM

2018’s events were planned to be larger than ever and required heavy duty equipment to help erect the massive stage and lighting setup on a tight deadline. In addition, the required equipment had to handle the job without damaging to the field in the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

SOLUTION

CEI Crane & Rigging has been working with the Hall of Fame since 2014 and works closely with event organizers to get the setup completed quickly and effectively, understanding the job and weight requirements.

CEI Crane & Rigging provided a 225-ton Grove GMK5225 and a 240-ton Grove GMK 5240 to set up the stage, lighting towers and lights. The schedule required precise timing to get the stage assembled and clear the field before the busy schedule of enshrinement festivities began. The industrial cranes provided met project specifications to accomplish the job without damaging the surrounding field.

RESULTS

The beautiful, well-lit stage provided the perfect centerpiece for the week’s enshrinement ceremonies and events, and concert that was attended by thousands of football players, fans and locals. The Pro Football Hall of Fame organizers were extremely pleased with the work done and continue to use CEI Crane & Rigging for their demanding crane and rigging projects each year for the Hall of Fame festival.
